How to Set Up Marinios IPTV on MAG Box — Step-by-Step Guide

To use Marinios IPTV on a MAG box, send us the MAC address printed on the back of the box. We register it and send you a portal URL, which you enter under Settings → Servers → Portals.

MAG set-top boxes from Infomir are purpose-built IPTV receivers. Instead of a username and password, they connect to a portal using the box's MAC address.

This means setup has one extra step: we need your MAC address before your service can work on the box.

What you need before you start

  • A MAG box (for example MAG 322, 324, 349, 420, 424, 520 or 524).
  • The MAC address from the sticker on the back of the box (starts with 00:1A:79).
  • A wired Ethernet connection is recommended.

Prepare your MAG box

Steps

  1. Connect the box to your TV via HDMI and to your router via Ethernet.

  2. Find the MAC address on the sticker under or behind the box, and send it to us with your trial request or order (use the MAC Address field).

  3. Wait for your activation message containing your portal URL.

Sign in and load your Marinios IPTV playlist

Use the details from your activation email. Copy and paste where you can, and keep these details private.

Enter the portal URL

  1. Power on the box. When the loading screen appears, open Settings (press SETUP/SET on the remote).

  2. Go to System settings → Servers → Portals.

  3. Enter a name for Portal 1 (for example Marinios) and type the portal URL exactly as provided.

  4. Save with OK, go back, and choose Restart portal. Your channels will load.

Set up the TV guide (EPG)

The portal provides the TV guide automatically. If times look wrong, set the correct time zone under System settings → Servers → General → NTP server and time zone.

Common MAG Box errors and fixes

"STB blocked" or "Authorization failed"
The MAC address registered with us doesn't match the box. Double-check the MAC address and contact support.
Portal won't load
Check the URL for typos (including the trailing /c/ if supplied) and restart the box.
